How to Find the Air Canada Reps at the Cancun Airport

In this quick and easy guide I will show you exactly how to find the Air Canada reps at the Cancun International Airport. It’s really not that difficult, but there are a lot of scammers who will try to trick you as you make your way through the crowds of touts. In fact, some of these fraudsters have become so aggressive that the stretch of airport between the baggage claim and where you meet your vacation rep has earned the nickname “Shark Alley”.

I have flown into the Cancun airport quite a few times recently, but this month was the first time my flight arrived during daylight hours, well before I could check into my hotel. Since I was in less of a hurry, I thought I would document my path through the airport to the exact location where you’ll find the Air Canada Vacations representatives at the Cancun International Airport.

Note: This guide only applies to travelers who have booked an all-inclusive vacation package with Air Canada Vacations. If you reserved your flight and hotel separately, you would need to arrange your own Cancun airport transfer. Prices are much better when reserved online in advance, and round trips are cheaper than two one-way transfers. Airport taxis are an expensive last resort.

Who are the Air Canada reps in Cancun?

In Cancun, Mexico, Air Canada has contracted out representative service to World2Meet, a third party that handles tour packages in many locations around the world. The World2Meet staff working for Air Canada will be wearing red Air Canada vacations t-shirts.

How to Find the Air Canada Reps at the Cancun Airport

Air Canada operates out of Terminal 3 at the Cancun International Airport. Here’s a step-by-step guide to finding your Air Canada rep as you leave the airport.

Step 1- Exit the Baggage Claim

Once you have collected all of your checked luggage from the baggage claim area, follow the signs shown above, pointing to the left. You can pass through the “Nothing to Declare” line unless you have something you need to declare to Mexican customs (commercial goods, very expensive gifts, restricted food items, etc.).

Step 2 – Pass the Rental Car Desks

I’m assuming you didn’t rent a car as you’re looking for your Air Canada transfer, so walk right through this hallway without stopping at any of the car rental desks.

Step 3 – Pass the Tourist Information Desks

Tourist Information Desks at the Cancun Airport

This is the first area where someone is likely going to try to trick you. The people working here earn commissions by selling tours, so they might try to get your attention by implying they are connected to Air Canada or claiming to have the best deals on tours. You should walk right through this area without stopping.

If you do want to book a tour on the Riviera Maya, I recommend booking through Get Your Guide, Viator or the tour desk at your resort. Your Air Canada rep will also hand you a flyer with information about booking tours through World2Meet.

Step 4 – Follow the Signs for Ground Transportation and Tour Operators

Follow the signage for ground transportation and tour operators, which will take you through another hallway where people may try to trick you or sell you tours. Keep walking until you see the doors shown above, which will take you outside.

Step 5 – Step Outside into the Arrivals Area

When you exit the airport terminal you’ll find yourself in the area shown above. Look closely! Can you see the Air Canada rep?  If you know who to look for then you can see the rep, who is approximately in the middle of the picture wearing a red shirt and holding a red sign. However, between you and the rep there are unscrupulous taxi and shuttle drivers who might try to trick you, reps for other legitimate companies, and run-of-the-mill scammers who want some of your hard-earned money.

If you can’t immediately see your Air Canada Vacations representative, keep walking a little bit further, looking for the staff in red shirts with red signs. Both will clearly read “Air Canada Vacations”.

Step 6 – Save Your Money

Margaritaville at Cancun Airport Arrivals

The Last Bathrooms as You Leave the Cancun Airport

As you exit the terminal you’ll notice a few businesses, including a minimarket and a Margaritaville restaurant. The prices at these businesses are way higher than at normal shops and restaurants, so unless you want to pay $10 for a can of beer or $25 for a slushy margarita made from syrup mixes, just walk past them.

However, I want to point out that there are clean, free public toilets here, which are likely to be the last ones you can use between now and when you arrive at your resort. If you’ve opted for a shared transfer you could realistically be looking at more than two hours on the road between the airport and your hotel, so I recommend using these washrooms before you depart. Again, they are free and if someone tries to make you pay then it’s a scam!

Step 7 – Locate the First Air Canada Rep

Vacation Reps Greeting Arriving Travelers at Cancun Airport

Again, your Air Canada Vacation rep should be wearing a red shirt and holding a red sign. Walk up to them, say hello, and provide your name. They will check your name of the list of arriving passengers that they are expecting and direct you to the correct bus or shuttle bay for your transfer to your resort.

The representatives in other shirts work for other companies, like Nexus Tours and Xcaret Resorts (which are so popular they have in-house transfer services). If you can’t find your Air Canada rep, these other reps would be the people I would ask before approaching anyone in regular clothes.

Step 8 – Meet Your Driver

The Air Canada Vacations representative at the terminal doors will direct you to a specific bus or shuttle bay where you will find an Air Canada Vacations kiosk like the one shown above. Walk there and tell the staff your name. They’ll check you off another list and take you to your bus or van, depending on which transfer option you booked.

In Cancun, your driver is likely to be driving a World 2 Meet van, which will be white and have W2M written on the side. They probably won’t be wearing an Air Canada uniform, because they do contract work for multiple airlines and tour operators. As long as you are taken to the bus or van by one of the Air Canada Vacations reps in a red uniform, like the two men shown above, you can trust you’re in the right vehicle.

What About the Return Transfer Back to the Airport?

Air Canada Vacations passengers can find the information about their return airport transfer on this website. Data gets loaded in 48 hours before your scheduled flight departure.

Is it the same for Westjet?

Yes and no.  In Cancun, Westjet uses Terminal 4, and contracts out their transfer services to a different company called Nexus. As of my last flight to and from Cancun with Westjet Vacations (in Janary, 2026) the process was generally the same: pass through immigration, get your bags, dodge the “sharks”, head outside, find the reps. I would say that the main difference was that Nexus staff handle more airlines and wear Nexus-branded shirts, so you’re looking for their bright orange uniform rather than the teal WestJet shirts you might be expecting.
