Hotels Near the World Cup Stadium at BC Place in Vancouver Canada

Planning to come to Vancouver, Canada during the 2026 World Cup?  It’s no secret that hotels near the World Cup stadium in Vancouver will book up quickly, so you’ll want to make your reservations as soon as you know that you’ll be coming to this beautiful city in British Columbia.

I’m originally from British Columbia, Canada, and still have family that live in Vancouver. I used my own experiences visiting Vancouver, and their local recommendations, to narrow down this list of the best hotels near the World Cup Stadium (which is actually named BC Place). These hotels are all near the stadium, or offer easy access via public transportation, so you won’t have to worry about getting to and from your soccer match or football party.

The Douglas, Autograph Collection

Just steps away from the World Cup Stadium in Vancouver is the Parq Casino, a resort complex featuring a casino, several restaurants and two hotels. The first hotel is The Douglas, which is part of the Autograph Collection. Guest rooms feature warm design evocative of Pacific Northwest style, and the hotel blends indoor and outdoor spaces through its living walls and rooftop urban garden.

JW Marriott Parq Vancouver

The second hotel in the Parq Casino is the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver, an upscale hotel featuring a rooftop hydrotherapy tub, fitness center and rooms with beautiful views over Vancouver. This level of access and luxury doesn’t come cheap, but it could be worth the price for a once-in-a-lifetime experience like a World Cup match.

Hampton Inn and Suites – Vancouver Downtown

The Hampton Inn and Suites – Vancouver Downtown is one block away from the World Cup stadium in Vancouver. One of the most affordable options in the immediate vicinity of BC Place Stadium, the property offers both standard hotel rooms and rooms with kitchenettes, which are ideal for longer stays or anyone trying to keep costs down (as Vancouver restaurants can be very expensive!).

Sandman Signature Vancouver Downtown

It’s a four-minute walk from the Sandman Signature Vancouver Downtown to BC Place Stadium, where the World Cup football games will take place. Sandman Hotels are a well-known Canadian hotel chain that started right here in British Columbia, and this is one of their most population locations. Renovations are currently taking place here but are scheduled to be finished by March 2026, so anyone coming for the World Cup can expect a new, upgraded experience.

The Sandman Signature Vancouver Downtown is also home to two well-known Canadian restaurants: Moxies and the Shark Club. Consider visiting to dine at either restaurant for a taste of Canada.

Opus Vancouver

From the Opus Vancouver hotel to the World Cup Stadium it’s an easy thirteen-minute walk. This boutique hotel in the Yaletown neighborhood comes recommended by the Michelin guide, for its prime location and funky design. Think bold colours, contemporary furniture and, of course, in-room Nespresso machines. There’s a popular Italian restaurant and a spritz bar on the ground floor for anyone cheering for Italy.

L’Hermitage Hotel

A luxury boutique hotel just six minutes away from BC Place Stadium, L’Hermitage Hotel in Vancouver is a great option for people looking for an intimate escape from the 2026 World Cup crowds. For longer stays they have a one-bedroom suite with a well-equipped kitchen, and the standard guestrooms are beautiful as well. Don’t leave without taking a dip in the courtyard lap pool and Jacuzzi!

Holiday Inn & Suites – Vancouver Downtown

Moving a little further afield, the Holiday Inn & Suites Vancouver Downtown is a seventeen-minute walk from the World Cup Stadium in Vancouver.  They offer family-friendly rooms that can easily accommodate two adults and two children, including a King Room with a sofa bed, or a room with two queen beds and a balcony (not for sleeping, just for the view!). There’s an optional breakfast buffet in the morning, and the hotel is opening a new restaurant in April 2026 (if you go, let me know how it is!).

The Guesthouse Vancouver Downtown

I won’t make you walk any further than this (and it’s really not that far at all!).  The Guesthouse Vancouver Downtown is an easy twenty-minute walk from BC Place Stadium. This basic, three-star hotel offers good value for your money (especially during a big event like the World Cup).

Hilton Vancouver Metrotown

Moving away from downtown Vancouver, the next two hotels are located in Burnaby, a suburb of central Vancouver. Vancouver’s passenger light rail train, called the SkyTrain, travels from Richmond’s Metrotown Station to the World Cup stadium in fifteen minutes, with trains arriving as frequently as every three minutes. Metrotown is also home to one of the city’s largest shopping malls, and the streets surrounding the station are home to some of the city’s best Asian restaurants.

The Hilton Vancouver Metrotown is a popular hotel on the SkyTrain line. This pet-friendly hotel has a fitness center and outdoor swimming pool. It’s known for having spacious rooms with super-comfortable beds and pillows, as well as famously friendly staff at the front desk.

Holiday Inn Express Vancouver Metrotown

Also located just steps away from the Metrotown SkyTrain Station, the Holiday Inn Express Vancouver Metrotown also offers direct SkyTrain acccess to BC Place Stadium.  This is the perfect family-friendly World Cup hotel in Vancouver for people coming to watch soccer with their kids. Room rates include a buffet breakfast (including hot and cold dishes) with something for everyone, and there’s an outdoor pool where kids can splash around.

Fairmont Waterfront

As its name suggest, the Fairmont Waterfront is located on the shore of the Vancouver harbour. When I was a kid our family stayed here frequently and we loved the waterfront location (with easy access to the Stanley Park Seawall) and personalized service.  You can reach the World Cup stadium in less than ten minutes from this hotel: it’s a three-minute walk to the Waterfront SkyTrain station, and then a five-minute train ride to BC Place Stadium.
