The Best Pasta Making Classes in Italy (Rome, Florence, Venice and More!)

Every time I travel to a new country I try to take a cooking class where I can learn how to prepare authentic, local cuisine.  I love taking pasta making classes in Italy, because a simple dish can be prepared in so many creative and delicious ways… if you know how!

The photo above shows an actual plate of pasta that I made at a cooking class in Italy.  At that pasta-making lesson, I joined up with other travelers to learn from two local grandmothers about how to prepare the pasta dough, roll it into different shapes, cook it until it was perfectly al dente and then serve it with a sauce made from only the freshest local ingredients. Oh, and we paired it with delicious local wine, of course!

No matter where you’re traveling in Italy, you will be able to find a great pasta cooking class led by local experts. These could be professional chefs or professional grandmothers, but either way they hold the secrets of Italy’s most popular dish and they know exactly how to teach it to travelers.

Below, I’m sharing some of the top-rated pasta cooking classes in Italy, all the way from the north to the south. You’ll find different ingredients and techniques in different regions, so consider taking a pasta class in each city you visit to truly expand your pasta repertoire!
